讲座简介：

The literature offers contradictory predictions and evidence on whether CEO overconfidence benefits or hurts business performance. We posit that CEO overconfidence benefits (hurts) business performance when the firm has high (low) dynamic capability. This interaction effect is stronger when the firm operates in a hostile business environment. Our predictions are supported by a primary survey of founder-CEOs using the psychometric measure of overconfidence and later business performance in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

主讲人简介：

Stephen Zhang，阿德莱德大学创业与战略学教授，新加坡国立大学博士，主要研究不确定情境下创业者和高管团队行为。Stephen曾在Academy of  Management Journal、Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice等顶级期刊发表文章，他的研究也曾被主要媒体报道（例如，雅虎、MSN、赫芬顿邮报、时代、悉尼先驱晨报）。Stephen曾在悉尼大学、智利天主教大学和新加坡国立大学工作。在他的学术生涯之前，Stephen有在多个行业工作的经历，包括工程、管理咨询、市场研究和创新管理，并自己创立了初创公司。在世界银行和智利经济部的支持下，Stephen在智利天主教大学创立了不确定性下的创业战略中心，该中心在南美洲排名第一。
